Social Services

AJR’s Social Services Department provides specialist support to Holocaust survivors, refugees, and their dependants—including spouses and second-generation members—across the UK.

We receive referrals from local authorities, synagogues, and Jewish organisations.

Client confidentiality is central to our work. With consent, our social workers assess care, health, and financial needs, including eligibility for financial support schemes, to help improve quality of life.

Our experienced team understands the lasting emotional impact of Nazi persecution and provides ongoing, compassionate support. We help members live independently and with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible, and support those who are socially isolated by connecting them with local services and activities.

AJR’s Social Services Department offers a warm, supportive, and confidential service. To speak to a social worker in confidence, please call 020 8385 3070.
