Why Become a Member

Membership of The Association of Jewish Refugees is extended to all Jewish victims of Nazi oppression, their descendants and dependents.

Annual membership of the AJR costs £25 (£35 overseas) and is open to anyone who was a victim of Nazi persecution and arrived in Great Britain as a Jewish refugee or Holocaust survivor, and members of their family including spouses, children and grandchildren.

In addition to the services we provide which are described in detail on our Social Work section, members receive an annual subscription to AJR Journal which combines topical news analysis with feature articles as well as book, theatre and film reviews. The Journal also contains profiles of personalities with a connection to the refugee community and promotes forthcoming AJR events and activities. Members also have the choice to receive a weekly e-newsletter with useful links to more information of events, as well as news of interesting events from other organisations.

If you are interested in joining the AJR but do not fulfil the criteria above (a victim on Nazi persecution and arrived in Great Britain as a Jewish refugee or Holocaust survivor, and members of their family including spouses, children and grandchildren) we are happy to welcome you as a Friend of AJR. You will receive our publications and hear more about our activities. To register as a Friend of AJR please CLICK HERE.  Please do send on this page to others who might similarly be interested in becoming a Friend of the AJR.
