Nicole Valens
Head of Social Work
Nicole qualified as a social worker in 2006 and worked in adoption and fostering, hospital discharge and housing and homelessness, before becoming Head of Social Work and Safeguarding at a secure psychiatric hospital in Somerset, where she worked primarily with women who have suffered trauma and abuse.
She is a qualified therapist in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, has an advanced Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling skills and is a clinical hypnotherapist.
Alongside this, she was also working as a Court of Protection Visitor for the Office of the Public Guardian, supporting people in their role as Deputy for Property and Affairs or Health and Welfare.
