Nicole Valens

Nicole joined AJR as Head of Social Work in 2019.

She leads a team of social care workers based all over the UK, providing financial, practical and emotional support to our members. Nicole is the Safeguarding Lead for the organisation. She qualified as a social worker in 2006; her previous roles have included fostering and adoption, hospital discharge, and housing, before becoming Head of Social Work and Safeguarding at a secure psychiatric hospital in Somerset.

She is additionally qualified as a psychotherapeutic counsellor and clinical hypnotherapist, specialising in stress, anxiety, and trauma.
