Fran Horwich

Head of Volunteer and Community Services

Fran began her career in the community as a volunteers coordinator at the Fed in Manchester.

Following this she provided Jewish Cultural Awareness training to professionals working within the Jewish community. Fran joined the AJR volunteers team in 2013, under the mentorship of the late Carol Hart MBE, becoming head of department in 2021. She is a member of the Yom HaShoah Committee, Manchester; an advisor to the Northern Holocaust Education Group and supports several local authorities with their HMD provision each year.

She has undertaken numerous voluntary roles herself, including school governor at King David, Manchester, and at the Miscarriage Association.

She is married with three adult children and is a director of The Midlife Crisis Theatre Co in her spare time.
